Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 – Story, Review and More

Sep 10, 2024

When Love Sex Aur Dhokha came out in 2010, it shocked many but started a conversations around what more topics people could explore in mainstream cinema. This April, we will see Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 in the cinema halls. Dibakar Banerjee is coming up with a film that deals with love in the time of social media obsession. The movie is already making news for casting a transwoman actress Bonita Rajpurohit in the lead role. Dibakar Banerjee has said the movie is a very dark, gritty and real one. He said many actors just did not wish to come on board.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 Story:

The anthology of three loosely interlinked stories delves into into the complexities of relationships, self-discovery, and identity in the backdrop of the digital age.

It’s 14 years since Dibakar Banerjee first explored human emotions of love, sex, and betrayal through the lens of handy cams, spycams, and security cams in his gripping and edgy movie LSD (Love, Sex Aur Dhokha). The Nushrratt Bharucha and Rajkummar Rao-starrer portrayed how cameras can wreak havoc in our lives if misused. Cut to 2024, and the themes are pretty much the same, but this time, the menace occurs in the digital world.

Through the stories of Noor (Paritosh Tiwari), Kullu (Bonita Rajpurohit), and Shubham, aka Game Paapi (Abhinav Singh), the film is a commentary on how increasingly digital our lives are turning. It takes a fictional reality show, Truth Ya Naach, and public votes for an estranged mother and her transwoman daughter to come face to face after two years. Gaming and influencer persona drive Game Paapi’s life to the edge. While these are explicit examples of how digital our lives have turned, they are implicitly portrayed through Kullu and Lovina’s (Swastika Mukherjee) stories, and the references seem inadequate.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 Review:

love sex aur dhokha

The movie’s concept will resonate with the viewer. Banerjee’s direction, Anand Bansal and Riju Das’s cinematography, and Naman Arora’s editing create a riveting and edgy world. The team excels in accurately recreating the reality show and the gaming/influencer videos. The digital world they present is as toxic as we witness in reality. However, this sequel is more salacious and sensationalising than thought-provoking in a scintillating way. The three volumes are cluttered, confusing, lacking a flow, and underwhelming in terms of story. Tony Kakkar, Vayu, and Meet Bros’ music is catchy and matches the film’s look and treatment.

All the performances in the movie are powerful – from Paritosh Tiwari and Swaroopa Ghosh’s strained relationship to Bonita Rajpurohit’s portrayal as a third-gender employee at a metro station and Swastika Mukherjee as Kullu’s boss. Abhinav Singh deserves special mention for his acting. The film also has cameos by Urfi Javed, Anu Sardar Malik, Sophie Choudhary, Mouni Roy, and Tusshar Kapoor.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 too Bold for Actors to Handle?

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 maker said that the label wanted certain singers who said such a movie would not have their ‘brand’ of songs. He said they feared the incessant trolling. He was quoted as saying, “These are legitimate reasons as we are all surviving on the internet presence and our followers. A topic that’s even part of the film. The music of LSD 2 has come out very different.”

Was Casting Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia from Bigg Boss 16 just a PR Stunt?

When fans did not see Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia they felt that she might have exited the show due to the bold content. While he did not exactly name her, he hinted that many developed cold feet about the project. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Dibakar Banerjee said many people dropped out. They said that picking up an actor from the Bigg Boss house was just a PR plan. He said they had plans to take more people. It was quoted as saying, “But not just actors, there are even singers, who did not want to utter Love Sex Aur Dhokha and other controversial words.” He said the bold theme of Love Sex Aur Dhokha made people very apprehensive. He said such an attitude exposes the hypocritical mindset of society.

Conclusion:

“Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” is a sequel to the 2010 film “Love Sex Aur Dhokha,” directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The original film was notable for its innovative storytelling and its exploration of voyeurism, morality, and relationships in contemporary Indian society.

While “Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” has been announce and is in development, the film has not been release yet. As such, there isn’t a conclusion available for it. The sequel is expect to continue in the same vein as the original, likely focusing on themes of love, betrayal, and the impact of technology on privacy and human relationships. Until the film is release, we won’t have specifics about its plot or conclusion.
